An original dark comedy musical by Clare Packham, Fintan Kealy & Andy Simpson. In 2021, Killing Time in Darkminster was a finalist of BYMT's New Music Theatre Award and runner-up for NYMT's New Musical Theatre Workshop.
Thomas Darlington is sent to a mysterious 19th Century chorister school in Darkminster. He quickly learns the choristers are being systematically murdered at an alarmingly high rate. Combining tropes of 21st Century musical theatre, the Victorian school novel and contemporary young adult fiction, Killing Time in Darkminster is a comedic reflection of the decline of arts education.
